Premium 5th-generation panel. The 5th generation runs six individually controllable wavelengths: 630, 660, 670, 810, 830 and 850 nm. Aluminum housing, professional build, stand and door mount included.

### Wavelengths and why they matter The red bands (630, 660, 670 nm) work mostly near the surface – skin and connective tissue. The near-infrared bands (810, 830, 850 nm) penetrate deeper and target muscle and joints. The Expert 5.0 combines all six in one panel instead of forcing you to pick between two devices.

### What the manufacturer states vs. what you can verify LED count, dimensions and irradiance get revised regularly, so the current figures live in the official shop. Two things you can verify yourself: irradiance at 15 cm with a solar meter, and flicker using your phone's slow-motion camera. The 5th-generation panels pass both checks in my testing.

### Choosing the right distance Irradiance drops with the square of distance. 15 cm means short, intense sessions; 30 cm covers more area per pass over a longer session. Daily users usually find 25–30 cm at 12 minutes more sustainable than maximum intensity.

If you plan whole-body sessions several times a week over years: yes. With daily use the cost per session drops below a single studio visit quickly. For occasional face-only sessions the Starter 3.0 is the more sensible buy.

What do Expert 5.0 reviews say after long-term use?

The recurring themes across owner reviews and my own 18 months with Mito Light panels: solid aluminium build, honest irradiance figures, and an audible but tolerable fan. The most common complaint is size – it is a large panel that needs a dedicated spot.

Is there a MitoHacker 5.0?
